Yesterday, MedPath students had their last “Lunch & Learn” session of the year. Students heard from Dr. Patrick DiGiacomo, MD of Pittsburgh, PA. Dr. DiGiacomo is a critical care medicine specialist working with Allegheny Health Network in their Intensive Care Unit (ICU). He spoke about his educational experience and what drew him to study trauma and intensive care. He explained what one could expect in the ICU and some of the situations he encounters on a day-to-day basis. The students also learned about and explored the many show-and-tell tools that Dr. DiGiacomo brought with him that he uses on patients. He shared the symptoms and conditions of some real-life patients he has encountered on the job and gave students the chance to diagnose them with the information given. The last luncheon of the year was a great one for MedPath students to reflect on and use to their advantage heading into the summer! #Prep #MedPath ⚕

Show Choir auditioned for the Disney Imagination Campus and Disney Live Entertainment group in September, going up against several hundred high school ensembles and was selected for one of the coveted spring break performance slots. Through this audition process, the choir was selected to perform! They became honorary cast members during their time at Walt Disney World two weeks ago. They had the opportunity to go rehearse on a “backstage” soundstage on a private tour bus, which is not seen by anyone except cast members at Disney. They then performed their concert on the Waterside Stage at Disney Springs. They had time to spend in all four parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. Congratulations to Show Choir and their music director, Mr. Alesso! Well deserved! #Prep #ShowChoir 🎶
