Students in Ms. Mackensen’s Leadership class are reading The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People and learning about Habit #3--Putting First Things First. They blew up one balloon for each responsibility they had throughout the week. Then had to keep all their balloons in the air. Chaos ensued! Students then prioritized two balloons to focus on keeping in the air. Arguably, much less stressful. After the balloon experiment, they discussed the importance of prioritizing their responsibilities and schedules and brainstormed ways to lessen the balloons they are responsible for at the same time. #Prep #Leadership 🎈
