• Softball split their doubleheader with Corry. Varsity dropped a close one to the Beavers, 5-4. Emalie Thomas and Mya Kaliszewski each drove in a run. JVs picked up a 13-0 victory. Sophia Primavere and Emily Dudenhoeffer each hit a home run. 🥎
For the month of March, a group of males came together with Fr. Scott Jabo, director of vocations for the Diocese of Erie, to talk about vocations and the discernment process. It was a time of dialogue and learning about the priesthood. We appreciate Fr. Jabo joining Fr. Jason and Fr. Mike to talk to our students about God’s calling for them. #Prep #Faith ✝

Congratulations to Tori Spearman ’24. She placed first All-Around for Level 9 at the PA State Championships! She also earned gold on bars, silver on vault, and bronze on beam at the Miller Athletic Center in Lewisburg. She headed right to Hershey right after to cheer on the girls basketball team, too! She will represent Pennsylvania at the regional meet in April against five other states with the opportunity to qualify for Eastern Nationals in Myrtle Beach. • Another outstanding season culminated in a silver medal for the Girls Basketball team! The Ramblers battled Archbishop Wood on Saturday in the PIAA AAAAA championship game in Hershey, where they fell, 37-27. Lena Walz closed out her Prep career with eight points to lead the way. Addie Biel and Jayden McBride, also in her final game for the orange and black, finished with six points apiece. The Ramblers closed out the season with a record of 23-4. Congratulations to Coach Chuzie and the girls on a great run! 🏀🥈
• Girls track & field had their first meet at North Allegheny. They fell to the Tigers, 124-26. The 4x800 relay of Reagan Johnston, Lauren Raimy, Sarah Teed, and Fina Bannister took first. Shelby Abogunde took third in the 100m. Anne-Catherine Brown won the 1600m, while Allison Bender took third. Raimy took third in the 400m. Bannister took second in the 800m. Brown won the 3200m, while Bender and Raimy took second and third, respectively. Grace Barrett finished third in the pole vault. 👟
• Boys track & field also dropped their first meet to North Allegheny, 135-15. The 4x800 relay of Hank Partridge, Roman Hamm, Will English, and Noah Lata took first. Partridge finished third in the 100m. Drew Hunter took third in the 400m. Cam Miller took second in the javelin, while Tommy Shaughnessy took third. Shaughnessy also took third in the discus. Ashton Mountain took second in the triple jump. 👟
Ms. Kabasinski’s Forensics classes concluded their studies of fingerprints with a two-part lab. They dusted and lifted their fingerprints with fluorescing magnetic powder. Once they lifted their prints, groups traded their unknown prints, along with their Fingerprint ID card they created earlier in the week, and the other group tried to make a correct match/identification. #Prep #Forensics 🔍
Congratulations to Derek Galla ’24. He has committed to play college basketball next season at Penn State Behrend. Derek played a huge role for the Ramblers this season on both ends of the floor, averaging six points and a team-high 6.5 rebounds per game. #Prep #RollRamblers #StudentAthlete 🏀

• The Ramblers are headed to Hershey! With another big defensive effort, they defeated McKeesport, 35-20, to advance to the PIAA 5A title game. Addie Biel led the way with 17 points, while Lena Walz finished with 12. The girls are heading to the state championship game for the 11th time and first since 2021, but it's the first as Prep. It comes on the same night that head coach Doug Chuzie gets career win #300. Ramblers will play Archbishop Wood this Saturday, March 23, at 6:00 p.m. at the Giant Center. Roll Ramblers! 🏀🍫

Congratulations to Hank Partridge ’25. He placed first in his Equestrian Dressage class at the Zone 11 competition at Dream Park, Logan Township, New Jersey. His placing puts him as the top rider in his class in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Hank competes and rides for the Lake Effect Equestrian Team at Brenric Stables near Edinboro. Congratulations to Andrew Timon ’25. He has committed to play college lacrosse at Mercyhurst University in 2025 on defense. Several of our students returned to the Barber National Institute for their monthly visit last week! They got to work with the students coloring shamrocks for St. Patrick’s Day, completing a scavenger hunt, and playing UNO, while they continued to get to know each other. • Congratulations to the Girls swimming & diving team! They finished second in the state at this weekend’s PIAA AA championship at Bucknell University. Their 145 points were runner-up to Mt. Pleasant’s 164. The 200 freestyle relay of Maria Costa, Kendal Johnston, Jaslene Cage, and Josie Dufala took first. The 200 medley relay of Costa, Cage, Ellie Natemeier, and Dufala took second. Costa finished sixth in the 200 IM. Dufala took seventh in the 50 free, while Johnston and Cage finished 16th and 18th, respectively. Natemeier took 15th in the 100 fly. Johnston took 15th in the 100 free. Natemeier took 20th in the 500 free. Costa took fourth in the 100 back, while Chloe Borrero finished eighth. Cage took 12th in the 100 breastroke, while Ellie Brugger took 25th. The 400 freestyle relay of Johnston, Borrero, Natemeier, and Dufala took 12th. The 200 medley relay of Jack Raimy, Matthew Hinman, Evan Calvert, and Colin Troutman finished second in the state. Callum Snider-Mills took 22nd in the 200 free, while Owen Carson finished 27th. Raimy took fourth in the 200 IM, while Drew Brown finished 12th. Troutman took 21st in the 50 free. The 200 free relay finished 18th. Carson took 17th in the 500 free. Raimy finished fourth in the 100 backstroke. Hinman took 11th in the 100 breastroke, while Brown took 15th. The 400-freestyle relay of Troutman, Snider-Mills, Calvert, and Raimy took fifth.
