This past weekend, Cathedral Prep's Theatre Program presented the classic musical, “West Side Story!” The cast included 50 talented students and there were also several cameo appearances by Prep teachers, Mr. Bob Achille ’75, Mr. Chris Peck ’93, and Fr. Mike DeMartinis. The cast was supported by a stage and technical crew of 10 students. The show was musically directed by Mr. Andrew Alesso and Mr. Patrick Rose with choreography by Mrs. Patty Corella. Mrs. Gretchen Petrarca and Mr. Paul Snyder '77 designed and built the beautiful sets. Tony and Maria were played by Robert Socash '25 and Charlotte Przybylinski '26. Bernardo and Anita were played by Michael Corritore '26 and Laura Morphy '25. Riff and Action were played by Calvin Ferry '25 and Leighton Leeds '27. The large audiences were amazed at the talent of our students as they sang and danced to some incredibly difficult musical numbers. The timeless score and story had emotions running high both on and off the stage. A proud accomplishment for all involved! 🎭
