Good afternoon:

What is the expression…… “it was fun while it lasted?” We really enjoyed having students and staff here today, but we will have Flexible Instruction Day tomorrow. We reviewed all the information and had a conversation with a local meteorologist this afternoon. The predictions are for widespread snow overnight beginning at 3:00 a.m. and high winds with several inches of accumulation. Although there will be less snow overall, we were advised that there would be periodic bursts of heavy snow, and the high winds will make visibility a significant problem. This scenario would make morning travel hazardous for our students, faculty, and staff. As much as we enjoyed having our students and teachers onsite today, the prudent decision for tomorrow is to learn remotely on Thursday, December 5.

Predictions are for snow to become focused in the snow belts during the day tomorrow instead of all across our area and for winds to reduce by Friday. This bodes well for the potential for school on Friday and we know the predictions for next week are for a warming trend. We will be in touch tomorrow afternoon with an update.

Our academic administration and faculty will follow up with details for tomorrow. If you have to travel tomorrow, please stay safe. I hope and pray we can move forward with no other disruption to our calendar for the remainder of the school year.

Best Wishes,

Mr. Smith

Teachers will be posting assignments for students to complete in all classes during the day. Those assignments will count for a grade as well as the student's attendance.
