The Class of 2026 officially became upperclassmen at the cherished Ring Ceremony that took place last Friday in the H. David Bowes Auditorium. This year’s theme was provided by Philippians 2:2: “Make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one spirit and of one mind.” Ring Ceremony is a wonderful moment for our juniors as they took the opportunity to reflect on how much they have already accomplished as a class, and how they will be the first graduating class to spend all four years together at Cathedral Prep.
Vice President of Academics & Student Affairs Jason Ladouceur led the student body in an opening prayer, followed by reflections from class officers Kayley McCall ’26 and Matthew Oblich ’26. A slideshow featuring photos of many of the moments that have forged a strong bond for the Class of 2026 was shared during the ceremony as well.
The rings were distributed to the students by Assistant Vice Presidents of Student and Academic Affairs Mrs. Veronica Seip and Mr. Rick Herbstritt ’96. Fr. Jason Feigh then blessed the Class of 2026 and their rings! President Kevin Smith closed out the ceremony with remarks commending the Class of 2026’s unity as a class, and how that will propel them for years to come. Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the Salata Technology & Innovation Center for the juniors and their families.
Class rings are a symbol of the never-ending bond and connection they will have with each other and with Cathedral Prep for a lifetime! 💍
