Last weekend, 40 Prep students came together as a cast and crew to present the timeless musical, “Brigadoon!” This Lerner and Loewe classic set in the Scottish Highlands tells of the enchanted village Brigadoon that only appears for one day every hundred years. When two Americans on a hunting trip happen upon the village, and one falls in love with one of the lasses, things get complicated. If anyone from Brigadoon leaves, the enchantment is over for all, but if someone from outside Brigadoon wants to stay, is it possible? Filled with humor, authentic Scottish costumes and music, gorgeous backdrops, and some of the most beautiful music ever composed, this show was a real hit for audiences.
