Following an extensive national search, we are pleased to announce that Kevin Moore has accepted the position of Vice President of Advancement of Villa Maria Cathedral Preparatory Catholic School System (VMCPCSS). He will begin on February 1.
Kevin joins the Cathedral Prep and Mother Teresa Academy families following a very successful career at Penn State Behrend. After serving as the university’s first alumni director in the Career Development Center and as a major gift officer, he was Director of Development and Alumni Relations for the past seven years. He earned a bachelor's degree in communications from Penn State Behrend and a master’s degree in public administration and healthcare from Penn State University. He also worked for five years as Vice President of The Erie Community Foundation, developing and implementing all development efforts for the organization.
During his time with Behrend, Kevin was an integral part of three fundraising campaigns that together raised $136 million, including Penn State Behrend’s most recent capital campaign that raised $75 million – a record-setting accomplishment for Behrend. The impact of the gifts from that campaign supported student scholarships, faculty professorships, program support, capital projects, and significant research initiatives.
"I am very excited to become a part of one of Erie's finest and most venerable institutions,” said Moore. “VMCPCSS has a stellar reputation for academics, sports, and for developing our young people. In my long career, I have learned that advancement work contributes to long-term organizational sustainability, and I am honored to be chosen as a trusted member of the VMCPCSS leadership team. I am eager to partner with alumni, students, faculty, friends, and the leadership team to support the strategic vision of our board and president as we soar to even greater heights over the next 100 years."
