Over the weekend of April 27-30, 2023, the Prep Theatre Department wowed the largest audiences it’s had in years with its production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the H. David Bowes Auditorium at Cathedral Prep. The show starred Anthony Frisina ’23 in the title role and featured Emily Morphy ’23, Abigail Rush ’23, and Nikole McLallen ’23 as the narrators, Alex Junkin ’24 as the Pharaoh, and an 18-member children's chorus comprised of local grade school students. The production also included 50 other Prep students in the cast and crew. Villa alumna Almitra Clemente Clerkin ’81VMA joined Director of Theatre Arts Fr. Mike DeMartinis, and our amazing music teachers Andrew Alesso and Patrick Rose on the production team, co-directing and choreographing the show. The production included a six-level pyramid-style set, an array of the most colorful costumes ever assembled, and several beautiful, one-of-a-kind set pieces created specifically for this production. 🎭
