The 15th edition of Mr. Bhatti's "Shark Tank" competition was held yesterday in the H. David Bowes Auditorium. Students presented their products and services to a panel of local entrepreneurs, alumni, and business owners. The competition is based off the hit TV show "Shark Tank.” Panelists included Jordan Fuller (Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership), President Kevin Smith, Nick Scott (Scott Enterprises), Garrett Shames (Glowacki Management Co.), Owen McCormick (Joseph McCormick Construction Co., Inc.), and Doug Massey (Erie County Community College). Our aspiring entrepreneurs pitched their ideas, which included a drone delivery service, NIL brand, automatic farm feeder, motorcycle restoration business, outfit finder app, baked goods business, and a clothing company! Following up on last semester’s edition, panelists critiqued each presentation and awarded the top three with prizes. Congratulations to the following teams on their award-winning presentations:
🥇: Olivia Hutchinson ’25 & Emilee Vereb with their closet organizer/outfit finder app, “Find a Fit”
🥈: Elliot Hermann ’23 with his motorcycle restoration business, “Hermann & Co.”
🥉: Lillianna Moore ‘25 with her baked goods business, “Layers of Cake”
Several students from previous Shark Tanks have gone on to have their products test markets, with the most recent being Matthew Loza ’21, whose smoothie truck, “Smoothie Sensation,” hit the streets of Erie & will be back in action this summer. Mohamed Rahama ’23 also has his customized phone case business, “Exotic Cases,” showcased in the Spirit Store! #Prep #Entrepreneurship🦈
