On Friday, April 11, we recognized students who received first and second honors at the Third Quarter Session! As part of the event, students hear from alumni who come back to share their wisdom and congratulate students on their academic performance. Karen Fails Surkala '86 spoke at our third quarter session about her time at Villa and how with hard work and their faith, everyone is more than capable of achieving high success. She also provided three valuable pieces of advice to our student body: follow your own path, surround yourself with good people who raise you up and help you excel, and make good choices. The quarter session concluded with recognizing the students who have attained the top grade in their respective classes. The "Men and Women of Prep" honors were awarded to a boy and girl from each class who exemplify good character and leadership. Each top student was recognized before the student body.
