We are dedicated to shaping the future leaders of our community by providing our students with a Catholic education that is unmatched throughout the region.

A Prep education is not the same education that students get at other schools.

We value faith, family, tradition, service, leadership, and excellence, and we challenge our students to embrace these priorities in everything they do.

It is our goal to make a Cathedral Prep education accessible to all qualified students and also secure the resources necessary for the financial stability of our school.

However, we cannot continue this mission without your help. Your help is critical to ensuring the future sustainability of Cathedral Prep, the future success of our students, and the future of Catholic education in the Erie community.

"I am proud to support Cathedral Prep and Catholic education because of its over 100 years of tradition. My father was one of the first graduates of Prep in 1926, and my brother and I followed him, graduating in 1965 and 1962. I have great reverence for the many lessons I learned, including respect, discipline, leadership, and teamwork. They have served me well in my career and beyond. My hope is that the many Prep and Villa traditions will continue to inspire others as the school moves into its second century and hope that my legacy will leave a lasting impression for all those who follow."

How Your Support Makes a Difference

Your gift supports a wide range of needs, including:

  • Tuition Assistance and Financial Aid: Providing access to students who might otherwise be unable to afford a Cathedral Prep education.

  • Academic Programs: Enhancing our curriculum via faculty support, resources for advanced courses, and opportunities for experiential learning.

  • Extracurricular Activities: Supporting service and leadership clubs, athletics, and other student activities that enrich the high school experience.

  • Campus Improvements: Maintaining and upgrading our facilities to provide a safe and inspiring environment for learning.
